2012 beauty queen crowned in Musanze-based varsity

MUSANZE – After a nail biter of a finale, Miss ISAE-Busogo was crowned last weekend during a function held at the institute’s auditorium in Musanze District, Northern Province.  The winner, Daniella Rusamaza beat five contenders to win the annual beauty pageant.

MUSANZE – After a nail biter of a finale, Miss ISAE-Busogo was crowned last weekend during a function held at the institute’s auditorium in Musanze District, Northern Province.

The winner, Daniella Rusamaza beat five contenders to win the annual beauty pageant.

The 21-year-old, 3rd student pursuing a degree in Rural Development and Agro-business, pledged to promote environmental conservation. She also promised to promote the image of the agricultural institute countrywide and across borders.

The soft spoken beauty queen was awarded a cheque for Rwf120,000 from Kenya Commercial Bank-KCB, a mobile phone worth Rwf100,000, courtesy of Techno-10 and various goodies from SULFO.

Ariane Nayituriki and Liliane Umutoniwase emerged as 1st and 2nd runners-ups, both receiving Rwf100,000 and Rwf80,000 from ISAE and mobile phones worth Rwf80,000, respectively – among other prizes.

The function also included performances from sensational R&B group Dream Boys and traditional dancers.

During the contest, Christine Uwingabire scooped the Miss Elegance title, while the Miss Rwandan Beauty title went to Lillian Umutoniwase.

In his remarks, the Rector of ISAE-Busogo Dr. Charles Karemangingo, urged Rusamaza to act as a true ambassador by portraying good qualities and discipline that promote the good image of the institution.
