SC Kiyovu has reinforced their squad with five new players for their campaign in next year’s Orange Confederation Cup.

The Rwandan side faces Tanzanian giant Simba in the preliminary round of the Confederation cup in February.

Head coach Jean Baptiste Kayiranga told Times Sport yesterday, "We have started preparations by reinforcing the squad. I have recruited three Ugandan players and two local based players.”

Kiyovu handed in their final list which will compete in the Confederation Cup to Ferwafa yesterday. On the list was the new signings, who include three Ugandans Nelly Mayanja (Kampala junior Fc), Shamirah Bate (Kampala junior Fc) and Ibrahim Jengo (Express Fc).

The local-based pair includes Jean Pierre Muhombe from Gisenyi and Emmanuel Uwimana from Ferwafa academy.

The old giants kick off their campaigns against Simba at home in the weekend of February 17-19, before traveling to Dar es Salaam for the return leg a fortnight later.
