Christmas is no Christmas without the decor that goes with it. Most houses have either put up the decor by now or some are in the process of decorating. Whatever decorations that you have put up or you are about to put up, there are somethings that should not miss out in your Christmas decoration;

Christmass tree

I dont know the history of how the Christmas tree came to be, for all i know that it has been a tradition for many years that this festive is not complete without having a tree in your house. Whether small or big, natural or plastic, a tree is a tree and it completes the Christmas mood. For anyone who can afford, they can drop at the Chinese shop known as T2000 and see what they have to offer.

Christmas wreath

Christmas wreath has also been used in the Christmas decor for many years. Depending on where one wants to hang it, it will always bring out the best of the decor. For those who have a fireplace in their homes, a wreath looks divine when hanged above the fireplace. For those who want to start the Christmas mood from outside their homes, a wreath hanged on a door is the way to go. Whether a person makes theirs at home or buys a ready made one, a Christmas wreath is a must in your decor.

Christmas lights

I always the love the look in my children’s eyes when I put up the Christmas lights round the Christmas trees. My son enjoys even more when the lights are musical. When the lights go on, it makes all the efforts worth the while, because the decor in your home changes from good to better.

Decorating balls

Decorative balls come in all sizes and colours; it is advised to mix all these colours. Blue, yellow, silver, red and gold all these colours in decorating balls can be found retailing at the Chinese shopT2000 or at the Nakumatt supermarkets both at UTC and Kigali City Towers. These balls make a Christmas tree become more alive- when putting up a tree, make sure these balls are in plenty.

Christmas stars

Stars of wonder, stars of light- stars with royal beauty bright-these stars are very important considering the fact that they played a major role in guiding the three kings to the child Jesus. There is no Christmas decoration without a single star; they guide us to the child Jesus.

Christmas gifts

There are two types of christmas gifts, we have the very small gift packs which are used in decorating the Christmas tree, and there are the real gifts to our family members which are usually placed underneath the Christmas tree- the gifts symbolises the gift that we received from God on this day; that is His Son the little baby Jesus, and they also remind us the virtue of sharing with one another.

The little baby Jesus in a manger

O little child of Bethlehem! Having a little manger in it a little baby Jesus is almost divine! It is like having the child Jesus born in your home; it is therefore the epicentre of the Christmas decor.

There are other things that can be also included in the decor, like the angels, the candles and the bells.

Decorating for Christmas is always fun, more especially if the entire family is involved. Sometimes though, when the parents are busy it can also be nice to let the children play with their creative minds by letting them put up all the Christmas decorations by themeselves, helping them where need be.

Now, whether you put up these decorations in your home or not, the most important thing is to let the child Jesus be born in your heart! Merry Christmas!
