ISONGA head coach Vincent Mashami has ruled out the possibility of his team being relegated to the second division league.

The club is comprised of former U-17 national team players, who graduated to the U-20 side that was incorporated into the Primus League back in September.

Despite picking a sole point in their opening two games, Mashami is confident the team will not go down come the end of the season.

"This is a new challenge for the boys and it usually takes time to adapt to the rigorous schedule,” he reasoned.

"Everyone at the club knows that we cannot afford to be relegated because it would be disastrous not just for us but for the sponsors as well,” the 30-year-old added.

The club is jointly sponsored by Inyange industries and Mediacom.
