Chinese Film Week gets underway

The Minister of Culture and sports Protais Mitali on Wednesday evening joined the Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda Shu Zhan and a host of diplomats in the launch of the Chinese Film week.

The Minister of Culture and sports Protais Mitali on Wednesday evening joined the Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda Shu Zhan and a host of diplomats in the launch of the Chinese Film week.

Speaking at the event, the Chinese envoy said that his country was working towards boosting the Sino-Rwanda bilateral cultural exchange for the citizens of the two nations to understand each other better.

”Today, as a part of celebrations for 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Rwanda, we start the Chinese Film Week. We are working to enhance our bilateral cultural exchange and to help our two peoples to understand each other better’

Numerous Chinese films will be screened at the National University of Rwanda-NUR, Kigali Institute of Science and Technology-KIST and Kigali Institute of Education-KIE during the film week.
