In an interview with The New Times yesterday, the Mayor, Nehemiah Uwimana, pointed out that though it was an initiative of Rwamagana residents, the project had attracted external investors.
He explained that the bus park would consist of modern facilities, including restaurants and shops and sufficient docks for the vehicles.
"We are talking of a complex infrastructural project that meets modern standards...investors from all over the country are welcome. It is a question of buying shares,” he said.
Uwimana added that the project was part of the ongoing process to change the face of Rwamagana town.
"A number of projects that will see this town experience a complete facelift are in the pipeline,” the mayor revealed.
Jean Baptiste Murenzi, the chairman of Public Sector Federation (PSF) in the district, said the business community was more than ready to ensure the project is completed.
"We own the process...we are committed to make it succeed. Who uses the taxi park? It is mainly businesspersons, so we are obliged to make the project a success,” he underscored.
