Codeshare essentially means that passengers can purchase a flight from Turkish Airlines, using their flight number for a flight on RwandAir, and vice versa.

This is yet another one on the list, including the recent deal with Qatar Airways that set RwandAir code on 65 routes of the Doha-based airline.

The national carrier is one of Africa’s most ambitious airlines with a reputation for delivering a premium service to all its customers, as proved by numerous awards won over the past.

In November 2022, the national carrier received its first cargo, a 787-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF), which aims to boost Rwanda’s trade on international markets.

In bid to expand its network, it also seeks to join The Oneworld Alliance, a major network bringing together different commercial airlines around the world, as announced in September last year.

This means that a member airline of the alliance is able to access all these destinations on a single itinerary.

For now, the national carrier operates in more than 28 countries in Africa, Europe and Asia.
