The two-month campaign aimed to encourage Cogebanque retail account holders to adopt digital banking platforms and alternative channels as their preferred way of transacting whenever they are in need of banking services.

It was also meant to highlight the bank&039;s commitment to innovation while also providing customers with a seamless and convenient banking experience; which was ‘an enormous success’ according to the acting Commercial Director, Songa Rwamugire.

He reaffirmed Cogebanque's continued commitment to providing their clients with a banking experience that is convenient, secure and accessible, as well as access to the finest banking services and support.

‘Tugendane na Cogebanque 2023’ campaign included a range of initiatives, such as media engagement, promotions during the Tour du Rwanda 2023 cycling competition, and targeted advertising, all aimed at helping customers understand the benefits of digital banking and alternative channels, how to get the most out of the bank’s platforms, and how to access financial services in a way that promotes a sustainable economy.

It was proven to be popular among customers with different demographics who use the bank’s mobile app, cards, and online banking platforms.

And ever since, according to the Head of Retail, Pierre Seruhungo, the bank has seen a significant increase in the number of customers using the platforms to manage their finances, as well as an increase in the customer satisfaction.

Over 200 Cogebanque customers and agents received different items, including motorcycles, laptops, tablets, sports bicycles, as well as home appliances like TVs and fridges.

"As a bank, it is our responsibility to make it as easy as possible for our customers to access their money and execute transactions at any time and from any location. All of this naturally fits with the nation’s goal of transitioning to a cashless economy, a goal that we, as a bank, wholeheartedly support,” he said.

Customers won prizes in the target draws that were conducted during the Tour du Rwanda, for which it is a Gold Sponsor, and on a monthly basis after the event for the big prizes, something which encouraged customers who had inactive or dormant accounts to reactivate them before taking part in the campaign.

"We believe that digital banking is the future of banking,” said the acting Head of Digital Banking and E-channels, Flory Rukokora, adding that Cogebanque’s digital platforms were already designed to provide customers with smooth and efficient banking experience, no matter where they are.

With the ‘Tugendane na Cogebanque 2023’campaign now closed, Cogebanque is looking forward to continuing to provide its customers with innovative and convenient banking services, as well as, staying at the forefront of digital banking technology.
