FOFO’S POETIC WORLD

He walks bare feet on the main road;
he is not afraid of tiny thorns,
he even stepped on sharp claws of the world.

People stay away from him as if he has a contagious disease;
in the streets they point at his dirty clothes,
they call him «MAYIBOBO»

He is a friend of weather be it rain or sun his home has no ceiling
he lives his life the way it is, it doesn’t feel like he is failing
Every night he smokes hard as if to fill his lungs with fire
in case the night gets too cold to bear.

He lies down on the ground, puts his head on stones and tries to get some comfort
what a bed it has become!
He is a humble child that bows his head to walk around
he doesn’t hold nose when he passes via trash containers,
he respects it as a cook that prepares his daily lunch

He carries luggage to earn himself a living
a couple of coins is all he gets
but he is not the one to mind
a simple child knows no pride

He looks at the modernity of the city but he doesn’t care
what on earth has strength or power?
His own world had once fallen down
with no family and no home
happiness is out of bounds

You can be loved by a mother and cherished by a father
but when it turns the other way round;
the journey is not still long. You become like a deserted dog.

He builds hope upon the sky that changes colors,
and waits for life to go from ash to crystal diamond
and soon or later the sun of the future will shine on his little face.

 Into the night or under the moonlight, with courage, he will drink on the cup of his sour fate. It’s «THE ORPHAN BOY»

Now, it’s up to you to make a difference in the world we live...

One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea;
One word can frame the goal.

One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room.
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.

One step must start each journey;
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits;
One touch can show you care.

One voice can speak with wisdom;
One heart can know what’s true.
One life can make the difference.
You see, IT’S UP TO YOU!

Saying: "…treat one another as more important than yourself”. Philippians 2:3. Even more importantly, we should not value human beings by abilities, looks or achievements but their value to God.
