Long ago a snake used to have long attractive legs, but after loosing its legs; it had no choice, except moving on its belly like what it does today.

This is how it all started: One day, King Elephant’s wife Queen Ela got very ill. And of all the animals that heard of this sad news was the Snake. Snake quickly decided to go to the King’s palace.

"Oh King! It is very sad to learn about Queen Ela’s sickness”, Snake told the King Elephant.

"Yes it is Snake. I am very much troubled”, the King told Snake.

"But then who can cure her?” Snake asked. We know about some one who can cure her, but he lives very far away in the forest, and we need to send some one there very quickly, King Elephant told Snake. Where about exactly? Snake asked again.

"In the Mountain of Gako, and the healer’s name is Kamaro” King Elephant explained.

"You can send me there right now! Great King”, Snake quickly offered a service. We just sent some one to call Cheetah, as he is one of the fastest animals in the forest, and you know it that he can run 110 km per hour”. King Elephant told Snake. Snake was immediately jealous of Cheetah when he heard this.

"Oh please! Kindly, just give me this one chance to prove my worth to your Kingdom. I can swim through big rivers which Cheetah cannot do, and this can delay him, Snake begged the King. King Elephant thought about it for a while.
