Did Jesus enter Jerusalem as a peaceful rider?

Yes. Jesus came on the earth and lived like any mankind. One day he made a visit to the city of Jerusalem. There he met many people awaiting him on the roadsides.

But before entering Jerusalem, Jesus Christ instructed his disciples to get him a young donkey he could use to travel to the city of Jerusalem. Jesus’ visit to Jerusalem was also mentioned in announced (Zech 9:9) by Prophet Zechariah.

If you read (Zech 9:9) the Bible says "Rejoice greatly, O Daughters of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”

(Mt 21:9) talks about how the people of Jerusalem celebrated Jesus coming to their city saying that "Hosanna to the son of David.” Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”

Today believers still shout this Davidic salutation every time the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is celebrated. Hosanna is an acknowledgment that Jesus is the true Messiah and king of the whole world.

Although many people in this city didn’t know him but lucky are to those who knew him, they will inherit the everlasting life.

Dear children believing Jesus as our king and saviour can not be compared to anything of this world. Jesus is the way the truth and life. Believe in him and you will have peace all the days of your life.
