REFEREES who were recently selected to officiate at this year’s Tusker Challenge Cup will undergo a cooper test this morning in Dar se Salaam, the host city of the tournament. The test aims at assessing the referees’ competence ahead of the two-week tournament. The test will also assess the physical condition s of the referees as well as theorical knowledge.

Rwanda will be represented by two center referees; Hudu Munyemana and Gervais Munyanziza.
Other center referees include; Dennis Batte (Uganda), Bamlak Tessema (Ethiopia), Davis Omweno (Kenya), Wish Yabarow (Somalia), Israel Mujuni (Tanzania) and Eric Gasinzigwa (Burundi).
Assistant referees include; Hassan Yacin Egueh (Djibouti), Clemence Erasmo (Tanzania), Idam Mohamed Hamid (Sudan), Juma Ali Kombo (Zanzibar), Hamis Changwalu (Tanzania), Yohanes Girmai (Eritrea), Mark Sonko (Uganda) and the Kenyan duo of Brazan Mamati and David Sagero.
Rwanda is drawn in Group A alongside defending champions Tanzania, Namibia and Djibouti. Uganda, Burundi, Somalia and Zanzibar make up Group B while Group C pits Kenya against Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Last year, Tanzania beat Ivory Coast (1-0) in the final to lift their third title.
