Gisanura to contest for Cecafa Vice president

FERWAFA vice president Raoul Gisanura will contest Somalia’s Abdiqani Saeed Arab and Tariq Atta Salih of Sudan for the post of Cecafa vice president this Thursday in Dar es Salaam. The Incumbent Cecafa boss Leodegar Tenga, who also dons the Tanzania Football Federation’s presidency, is seeking re-election. He is opposed by chairman of the Djibouti Football Association, Fadoul Hussein.

FERWAFA vice president Raoul Gisanura will contest Somalia’s Abdiqani Saeed Arab and Tariq Atta Salih of Sudan for the post of Cecafa vice president this Thursday in Dar es Salaam.

The Incumbent Cecafa boss Leodegar Tenga, who also dons the Tanzania Football Federation’s presidency, is seeking re-election. He is opposed by chairman of the Djibouti Football Association, Fadoul Hussein.

Tenga replaced the late Dennis Obua during the 2008 elections.

Other officials contesting for positions on the executive committee include Justus Mugisha (Uganda), Tesfaye Gebreyesus (Eritrea), Hafidh Ali Tahir (Zanzibar), Sahilu Wolde (Ethiopia) and Abubakar Nkejimana (Burundi).
