ETINCELLES’ title credentials will be put to test this afternoon at Kigali Regional stadium when they take on champions APR.

The military side, which is still smarting from a 1-0 loss to Mukura, will be desperate to get back to winning ways but Etincelles Coach Sogonya Hamiss does not fear a backlash from the champions.

"We have prepared well for the match and are certain to make it difficult for APR. I have told my players to stay calm and focused because APR will be desperate to get three points,” Sogonya said.

In other league matches, AS Kigali coach Thierry Hitimana whose side is yet to pick up a win this season, face third-placed Kiyovu, Marines host Nyanza, while Amagaju are away to Mukura.

Tomorrow, La Jeunesse entertains Police while Rayon Sport hosts Espoir.

Although it is just early days, this season’s fight to win the primus league looks to be intriguing with just 3 points separating the top six clubs which are Etincelles, APR, Kiyovu, Police, Rayon Sport and Mukura respectively.

APR have scored the most goals with 11 after just six games but Etincelles have the best defense so far with just 2 goals conceded.

The western province side also has the leading goal scorer in Sylvan Ochan with five goals.
