New KIE Vice-Rector assumes office

Prof. Wenceslas Nzabarirwa, Friday officially assumed his new responsibilities as the Vice-Rector (Academics) of Kigali Institute of Education (KIE), taking over from Dr. James Vuningoma. Vuningoma had served in that capacity for three years while the former has been the Dean of Faculty of Education at the institution.

Prof. Wenceslas Nzabarirwa, Friday officially assumed his new responsibilities as the Vice-Rector (Academics) of Kigali Institute of Education (KIE), taking over from Dr. James Vuningoma.

Vuningoma had served in that capacity for three years while the former has been the Dean of Faculty of Education at the institution.

Nzabarirwa was appointed to the position in a cabinet meeting early this month.

Speaking during the handover, Vuningoma commended the institution`s staff for the support rendered to him saying it had enabled him to serve to the best of his ability.

The new Vice-Rector pledged to uphold teamwork in ensuring that the staff performs to produce quality students.

Presiding over the event, the institution’s Rector, Prof. George Njoroge, commended the outgoing don for his contribution and services rendered towards the development of the university.

He further congratulated the incoming Vice Rector for his appointment urging him to cooperate so as to take the institution to the next level.
