Youth urged to conserve environment

NYAGATARE – Youth in Nyagatare District have been called upon to lead the campaign in environmental protection. The coordinator of youth in the district, Alex Musoni, made the call Tuesday at the closure of a one-week youth campaign in Mimuri Sector. During the event, youth in the district participated in various developmental activities, including tree planting exercise. Trees were planted on road sides in Bibare Cell.

NYAGATARE – Youth in Nyagatare District have been called upon to lead the campaign in environmental protection.

The coordinator of youth in the district, Alex Musoni, made the call Tuesday at the closure of a one-week youth campaign in Mimuri Sector.

During the event, youth in the district participated in various developmental activities, including tree planting exercise. Trees were planted on road sides in Bibare Cell.

Musoni said that it was the responsibility of the youth to use their energy to build the country.

"We must work hard and contribute to the development of the country. This will, however, be achieved if we stand up and fight all sorts of that bad acts,” he said.

Jean Paul Uzabakiriho, a grassroots official, promised the local leadership will take good care of the trees that were planted.
