A diversified economy generally helps growth and creates more jobs.

Our country has for long relied on the two traditional exports-coffee and tea. Pyrethrum also offers considerable potential, which may significantly contribute to poverty reduction and economic development if adequately exploited. 

Rwanda has a strong competitive base anchored on its comparative advantages such as favourable climate, fertile soils, abundant water resources, and an increasingly skilled labour force to produce quality and competitive pyrethrum products for regional and international markets.
