COMMUTERS along the Gikondo-Nyenyeri route in Kigali have often bemoaned the shortage of public transport vehicles on the route to no avail.

Not so long ago, Atraco promised to dispatch more taxis on the route. At almost the same period, Kigali Bus Services imported 20 new buses, and promised to extend some to other routes affected by a biting shortage of vehicles, including ours, but this never came to fruition.

On behalf of the residents of Gikondo and Nyenyeri, and for the umpteenth time, this is an appeal to the two public transport firms to avail more vehicles along the route.
