Editor,

It was very interesting to read your article in yesterday issue of  The New Times, titled "Western Province leaders continue tour of the East.”

Co-operation between the Eastern and Western Provinces is a great idea. The leadership needs to be commended for forging this unique partnership, which will enable the two provinces to draw on each other’s strengths.

It might be worthwhile for other provinces to forge similar partnerships. Rwanda has emerged as a model country and such partnerships would facilitate the growth and development not just in certain areas, but throughout the four provinces, in addition, of course, to the rapid development that is already taking place in the capital city - Kigali.
