Members of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) have been urged to pay their contributions on time, in accordance with the party’s internal regulations.

The party’s President in Gasabo District, Adolphe Bazatoha, made the call on Sunday during a meeting that brought together about 150 participants from 15 administrative sectors of the district.

In a statement released yesterday, Bazatoha said: "The functioning of the party relies on contributions from the members as described by the internal set of laws”.

During the meeting, party members pledged to make regular contributions while those with accumulated arrears promised to pay them.

They also resolved to play an active role in promoting income generating initiatives and fight against poverty in their respective communities.

Members hailed National Electoral Commission for the proper organisation of the recently held senatorial elections.

PSD was founded in 1991.
