RIGHT Guards have one foot in the final, following Saturday’s thrilling victory over Impala Titans in the Sulfo Cricket League.

Right Guards looked in trouble at 67 for seven but a 102 partnership between Joshua Mwanja (128) and Eugene (22) pushed them to a defendable score of 243.

Mwanja’s knock included 16 boundaries. Freddy Ndayisenga was the peak of Impala’s bowling with figures of 4 for 32 runs while Tito Gakire took three for 48.

In reply, Titans fell 47 runs short. Eric Dusingizimana topped the scoring charts with 66 runs while Julius Mbaraga and Emma Byiringiro weighed in with 39 and 30 runs respectively.

Impala now need to win their final match against Indorwa to qualify for the final.
