The 10 contestants for the 2011 Schools of Finance and Banking (SFB) beauty contest have been participating in social and humanitarian activities.
The bevy of beauties attended a monthly community cleaning, exercise commonly as ‘Umuganda’ and, also visited La Cité de la Misericorde Niboyi Orphanage Centre in Kicukiro District, Kigali on November 3.
During the visit, the beauty queens interacted with the orphans and also donated food stuffs, among other items.
The event was organised by the school’s student association and the administration of SFB, in collaboration with Bank of Kigali. (BK)
The main event to crown the winner of the contest will take place on Saturday, November 5, at the institution’s main hall.
However, it is the first time in the history of university beauty contests that contestants have participated in such developmental activities. Hopefully, even other organsiers will borrow a leaf from this year’s SFB organising committee.
