Editor,

This letter is with reference to an article in yesterday’s issue of The New Times, titled "RDB launches new tourism package.”

RDB’s innovation in the tourism sector is important and the regular addition of such products and services is what enhances interest among both domestic and international visitors to this beautiful country.

"Adventure” is a fast-growing component in the tourism product offerings of any country. This is more so today than ever before, because our youth, who account for a sizeable percentage of adventure tourists, now have more disposable incomes to indulge in such healthy activities.

The Head of Tourism and Conservation at RDB, along with her entire team, need support in developing this very interesting "Congo Nile Trail” that is a partnership with United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and SNV Rwanda.

It is very encouraging to note that this trail, upon implementation, would also offer employment opportunities to the locals trained as tour guides.
