2 families recognised for maintaining values

NYAGATARE-Two families in Karama Sector, Nyagatare District, were each awarded Rwf 250,000 this week for outstanding performance in family promotion. The ceremony was part of activities organised to conclude the family week in the district. Speaking at the occasion, MP Jeanne d’Arc Uwimanimpaye,who presided over the function, urged residents to emulate those who were awarded by becoming role models in maintaining family values.

NYAGATARE-Two families in Karama Sector, Nyagatare District, were each awarded Rwf 250,000 this week for outstanding performance in family promotion.

The ceremony was part of activities organised to conclude the family week in the district.

Speaking at the occasion, MP Jeanne d’Arc Uwimanimpaye,who presided over the function, urged residents to emulate those who were awarded by becoming role models in maintaining family values.

"The families exhibited a highest degree of integrity, adopting government programs and other fields. This is what a modern Rwandan should be doing,” she said.


The Vice Mayor in charge of Economic Development, Stanley Muganwa, challenged residents to maintain peace in families and engage in development activities.
