RWANDA will know their opponents for this year’s Tusker Challenge Cup when the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (Cecafa) organisers hold draws this afternoon in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.

The Cecafa secretary general Nicholas Musonye said recently that "Draws will be held on November 2 to decide who faces who in the lucrative and thrilling Challenge Cup which begins on November 24,”

The regional body will today decide on who among South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi will be invited as guest teams before draws.

The tournament will kick off on November 25 and conclude on December 10 in Dar es Salaam

The Cecafa Cup is the oldest regional football tournament in Africa.

It includes national teams from Central and East Africa-Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Zanzibar, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi and Djibouti.

Malawi has won the tournament three times in 1978, 1979 and in 1988 before breaking away from the grouping to join Cosafa.

Rwanda never progressed past the quarter finals of last year’s tournament following a 1-0 loss to hosts Tanzania but with the experience of Serbian Milutin Sredejovic Micho who has a ten-year experience in Africa, Amavubi will be looking for honours.
