NYAGATARE – Members of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi) in Rukomo Sector, in Nyagatare District, have promised to become ‘catalysts’ for development in their area.

They made the pledge during a consultative meeting to assess the party’s progress in the sector.

Chanting party songs during the meeting held at SOPEM Rukomo secondary school, members hailed the party’s achievements in nation building.

The party chairman in Rukomo Sector, Isaei Niyonsenga, said the objective of the meeting was to cement the members’ commitment to become role models in the sector.

"We have converged here to call on party members to always shine and be exemplary to other residents. We also call party members to be the catalyst for peace and development,” he said.

The head of good governance in the party, Ignatius Uwishatse, said that the next party meetings will be held at the village level to inspire members to become role models in implementing government programmes such as community health insurance scheme, grassroots credit and saving cooperatives Rural Savings (Umurenge Saccos), among others.
