Plot:  the sport of boxing has become high-tech, where robots now control the ring. Charlie Kenton a one-time title contender (before the robots took over the ring) is now a small-time promote, making just enough money to survive.

When the going gets really hard, Charlie reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender.

As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

Verdict: the plot offers nothing new, but the movie is very well made. Jack brings his acting skills to the front, making the movie thrilling and exciting, with just enough characterization.

Cast: Hugh Jackman, Anthony Mackie, Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lily, Kevin Durand.
