NEW League champions APR are already looking to strengthen their side ahead of next year’s CAVB Africa Club Championship in South Africa.

The army side, who recently lost star spiker Lawrence Yakan to Algeria’s first division side Etoile sportive de Sétif, want to sign Pierre Marshal Kwizera (Nyanza) and INATEK’s Athanase Bigirimana.

"They are two of the best players in the country right now and will make our side stronger,” APR coach Sammy Mulinge said.

"We have reached an agreement with Bigirimana and are now in talks with Kwizera.”

APR dethroned National University of Rwanda (NUR) after a 3-1 victory over the latter. Meanwhile, Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) ended their three-year wait after beating APR in the women final.

The tax collectors will now represent Rwanda in the CAVB Africa Women Club Championship in Egypt.
