POLICE are backing themselves to pick up three points in the Primus League when they entertain struggling Nyanza this afternoon at Kicukiro.

After four league matches, Goran Kopunovic’s side are in fourth place with eight points, four adrift of league leaders and defending champions APR but victory will see them climb into second place.

Last week, Police dropped two points after a goalless draw against Mukura but Kopunovic has backed his guns to get back to winning ways.

"We were a bit sloppy against Mukura but we have tried to rectify that throughout the week and I’m hopeful of a good performance tomorrow (today),” the Serbian said.

Nyanza also dropped points after failing to find the net in a 0-0 draw against Espoir last Sunday. The team march into today’s tie with two points.

Elsewhere, AS Kigali hosts Marines at Umuganda stadium while Mukura entertain a spirited La Jeunesse side at Kamena stadium.

Meanwhile, by press time, Rayon Sport were close to sealing a deal with Bokota Labama Kamana. The Blues are desperate to play the striker in tomorrow’s league match against APR.
