Germany reggae artiste Dominik Hass is already itching to fly back to Africa. After his West Africa tour, the collaborative fruits of which can be heard on the Crossroads Riddim CD, Hass is ready to hit the road again.

Natty Dread told The New Times, that the concert is slated for November 13, with sponsorship from the German Embassy in partnership with Goethe Institut.

The concert will also feature local artistes Natty Dread and Holy Jah Doves, who will perform alongside Hass’ tour band in Uganda, where his tour will start from.

The German reggae artiste, who lived in Africa for a dozen years, is expected to perform in Uganda on October 28, where he will hookup with vocalists Rafik Jamal Wasswa and Jackie Chandiru of the Blu3, as well as guitarist Ivan Akansiima, Jude Lukwago on the keyboard and drummer Ambrose Tugume.

Uganda’s popular troupes Qwela, Soul Beat, Bonafide and Ndere will also take part in Hass’ concerts.
To cope with the technical challenges involved in the undertaking, Jahcoustix will have some help from Berlin artist/engineer Stefan Schleickmann, who is experienced in handling unorthodox equipment, amongs.

And whilst the band rehearses in Kigali, Schleickmann will take advantage of the opportunity to hold a workshop targeting sound engineers in the country.

Thereafter, Hass and his tour band will perform in Bujumbura - Burundi, Nairobi- Kenya, Addis Ababa - Ethiopia, Djibouti and Maputo in Mozambique.
