Editor,

This letter is in reference to the article written by Dias Nyesiga in yesterday’s issue of The New Times, titled "Women’s bank in the offing.”

Faustin Mbundu, Chairman, Private Sector Federation (PSF) and Immy Kamarade, President, Women’s Chamber of the PSF, need to be applauded for this great initiative. Bank credit is always a crucial factor in the setting up and expansion of any business.

The proposed bank will surely help women entrepreneurs to access credit on more flexible terms and enable them to grow and expand their businesses without undue constraints of finance.

The new Rwanda is always alert and attentive to the needs of the people and this attractive innovation will empower women more effectively.

I wish Mbundu, Kamarade and their team every success in the setting up of this unique facility in the land of a thousand hills and a million smiles.
