The national sitting volleyball team has entered residential training camp at Heroes Corner motel ahead of next month’s sub-Saharan Sitting Volleyball championship in Kigali.

According to the Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee Celestin Nzeyimana, the team will be in camp for a week under the guidance of Dutch coach Peter Karreman and later continue with non-residential training until November 14 under assistant coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva.

"Because of limited funds we cannot afford to have a residential training camp until the tournament starts (on November 22).

So they will have one camp this week with Coach Karreman and another one a week before the tourney starts,” Nzeyimana said, adding that in the interval, players will continue with non-residential camp.
