Editor,

According to a World Bank report, Rwanda emerged among the top least corrupt African countries.

Eradication of corruption is one of the country’s vital goals and this has been fully supported by the top leadership. Indeed, Rwanda is one of the few states on the African continent that will not hesitate to arrest and prosecute anybody involved in corruption.

For many African leaders, this has been a failure and it always starts with the leaders going down until it reaches the citizens. Fighting corruption will be one way of attaining the millennium development goals.

I was not surprised that our country had been ranked the fourth least corrupt African country by the World Bank Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) project.
