I was delighted to read Edwin Musoni’s article in yesterday’s issue of The New Times, titled "Kirabo scoops top UN job.”

Kudos to Dr. Aisa Kirabo Kacyira on her new assignment as Deputy Executive Director and Assistant Secretary- General for UN- HABITAT.

Her immense contribution as Mayor of Kigali City is there for all to see. She was always ready to help in whatever way possible and will take her wealth of knowledge and experience to her new job with the UN.

For sure, Dr. Kirabo will be missed as Governor of the Eastern Province. But her appointment endorses the fact that this great nation can and does produce people of the highest calibre and of world class standards.

She will surely be a great ambassador for the country in her new role at the UN. Wishing Dr. Kirabo every success in her new position.
