The government has recalled Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Tanzania, Fatuma Ndangiza Nyirakobwa, the Minister of Foreign affairs disclosed yesterday.

Louise Mushikiwabo said: "I can confirm that Rwanda High Commissioner to Tanzania was recalled and she will be assigned other duties which will be announced later,” she told The New Times.

She declined to divulge reasons behind the move.

Before her appointment as the Rwandan High Commissioner to Tanzania, Ndangiza had, for long, served as the Executive Secretary for the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission (NURC). Earlier on, she had served as the Director in charge of Women Affairs at the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion.
