Nshimiyimana confirms Amavubi job interest

ERIC Nshimiyimana has confirmed his interest in taking the Amavubi job on a permanent basis.

The interim coach went public moments before the team’s departure for Porto Novo where they will play their final 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Benin.

The list of candidates has shot up to 23. Some of the notable candidates include Nigeria’s Stephen Keshi, former SC Villa, St.George and Al-Hilal coach Mico Milutin Sredojevic (Serbian), Ratomir Dujkovic, current Burundi coach Adel Amrouche , Zoran Djordjevic (Serbian),Tosi Noel (French), Stefano Cusin (Italian), Bahner Siegfried (German),Tom Saintfiet (Belgian), Branco Smiljanic (Serbian), Jean Marie Ntwgabirwa, Antoine Rutsindura, Bordoli Livio (Switzerland) Peter James Butler (British), Roberto Alejandro Rodrigo (Argentinean), Stewart Hall (British), Patrice Neveu (French), Dragoslav Stepanovic (Serbian), Chris Sarramagna (French), Gomes Da Rosa Didier (French), and Tomislav Obradovic (Croatian).

This week, Ferwafa put in place a special committee to determine the criterions for choosing the next coach.

The job fell vacant early this month when Sellas Tetteh resigned after a series of disappointing results that included a humiliating 5-0 home defeat to Ivory Coast.
