LOCAL cyclists have every reason to double up on their performances in next month’s Tour of Rwanda after receiving new equipment from Italy.

The president of the local cycling federation (Ferwacy) Aimable Bayingana yesterday said that the donation includes 50 bicycles, spare parts and jerseys worth a whooping Rwf120m.

According to Carlo Scandola, a keen follower of Rwandan cycling, the shipment came from Ferwacy well wishers in Verona.

Prior to the Tour of Rwanda, riders will test the new bicycles in the tour of Kigali.
