Rwanda to host sub-saharan sitting v-ball tourney

TEN countries including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, DRC, Cameroon, Nigeria, Zambia and Namibia will descend on Kigali next month to take part in the Africa sub-Saharan sitting volleyball tournament.  The week-long event, which will throw off on November 22, is also a qualifier for the 2012 London Paralympic Games.  Elie Manirarora., who is the head of the local organizing committee, told Times Sport yesterday that they need Rwf49m to host the competition.

TEN countries including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, DRC, Cameroon, Nigeria, Zambia and Namibia will descend on Kigali next month to take part in the Africa sub-Saharan sitting volleyball tournament.  The week-long event, which will throw off on November 22, is also a qualifier for the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

Elie Manirarora., who is the head of the local organizing committee, told Times Sport yesterday that they need Rwf49m to host the competition.

"We have secured some sponsorship from Caisse Social, Sulfo Rwanda and the United Kingdom high commission but are still way short of the budget,” Manirarora said.
