Editor,

The move by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MINICOM) to sensitise the public on the Intellectual Property law is timely.

Artistes work day and night only for  their work to be pirated by selfish traders. This will only stop if the law is applied.

Piracy and counterfeit is common in urban areas and it seems people involved are ignorant of the law. Therefore, a massive campaign is needed before the law takes its course. The ministry should also sensitise the public regarding counterfeited products and expired goods.
