Editor,

Allow me to express my appreciation to the sports desk of your paper for keeping us updated on the developments in the National Football Federation (Ferwafa) following the resignation of the president and the CEO.

The outgoing team partly threw in the towel because it failed to deliver on its promises to Rwandans.

The national team performance has been dismal of late, the players are aging but it will take the commitment of the new Ferwafa administration to oversee the transitioning of the current crop of young players.

While the senior team looks tired, the prospects of the junior teams are very much alive. Rwandans expect a lot from the new Ferwafa management as there is need to restore pride in our national team.

The target now should be the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
