Share prices register drop

Trading on the Rwandan Stock Exchange (RSE) registered low volumes, trading lower compared to Monday’s trading, yesterday’s market report stated. After strong trading at the beginning of the week, Bank of Kigali shares traded between Rwf136 and Rwf137 and closed at Rwf136, a decrease of Rwf1 compared to Monday’s closing session.

Rwandan Stock Exchange (RSE) registers low trading volumes after a strong trading at the begining of the week

Trading on the Rwandan Stock Exchange (RSE) registered low volumes, trading lower compared to Monday’s trading, yesterday’s market report stated.

After strong trading at the beginning of the week, Bank of Kigali shares traded between Rwf136 and Rwf137 and closed at Rwf136, a decrease of Rwf1 compared to Monday’s closing session.

At the time the closing bell rang, there were 564,300 BK shares on offer between Rwf136 and Rwf140 and bids of 8,000 BK shares between Rwf134 and Rwf135.

Yesterday, the market traded on lower volumes compared to Monday, with Bralirwa’s counter dormant as no transactions were recorded with the shares unchanged at Rwf280 at the closingof the market.

At the Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding bids of 178,500 shares between Rwf275 and Rwf279 and two offers of 50,000 and 3,000 shares at Rwf281 and Rwf284, respectively.

The market also registered a total turnover of Rwf2,544,200 recorded from 18,600 BK shares traded in only 12 deals while KCB shares last transacted at Rwf175. Meanwhile, the Nation Media Group shares last transacted at Rwf1,200.
