RAYON sport kept their perfect start in the Primus league intact after yesterday’s 2-0 victory over Marines at Kigali Regional Stadium.

Fuadi Ndayisenga put the six-time champions in the lead mid-way through the first half before a late strike from Said Abedi Makasi.

The victory left the blues joint top with APR on nine points although the defending champions are top due to the fact that they have scored more goals.

Jean Marie Ntagwabira must be a happy man after seeing his side off to a bright start.

In the other day’s game, Mukura registered their first win of the season after a 3-0 win over AS Kigali at Mumena stadium. The Southern province side is now moved up to fifth position with four points.

In other weekend matches, Police thrashed Espoir 3-0 at Ferwafa; La Jeunesse lost 0-1 away to Amagaju; Etincelles snatched a 1-0 victory over Nyanza at Umuganda while APR strolled to a 4-1 victory over SC Kiyovu.

The league has been put on hold until October 15 to pave way for the national team training ahead of their final 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Benin on October 9 in Porto Novo.
