Just five months after giving birth to her daughter Mbabazi, Pacifique Uzambereumwana, better known by her stage name Paccy, is set to grace the stage at Jay Polly’s album launch.

Jay Polly’s second album entitled ‘Iwacu’ is scheduled for launch on October 7, at Petit Stade in Remera, a suburb of Kigali City.

Other local artistes expected to perform include Diplomate, Danny, Bably, Pacson, Bac-T, Kamichi, Just Family, Knowless, Urban Boyz, Dream Boyz, Uncle Austin, Tom Close, Jack-B and King James. Guest performers are Geez Mabovu from Tanzania and Burundian rapper T-Max.

Paccy gave birth to her first child to local music producer Lick Lick in April 2011. However, ever since her pregnancy, Paccy claimed that Lick Lick was the father, but he flatly denied.

But she was determined to reveal the truth. However, according to the recent media reports, Lick Lick seems to have finally accepted the responsibility.

Paccy is a Hip-hop/Rap artiste who rose to fame in 2009 after she released her first single ‘Ese nzafpa.’ Since then, she has released several tracks such as ‘Boom boom ’and ‘Miss President’.

At 21 years, Paccy inspires a growing number of younger rappers. One special thing about her is her delightful singing voice, yet she prefers to sing in less smooth Hip-hop, as a loyalty to the gender equality movement.
