TECNO Mobile Rwanda has introduced a new phone series, Spark 10. The new phones are rich in storage, picture quality, appearance, and battery life, among other things.

The Spark 10 series have four models, which include Spark 10 pro with 32MP front camera and 50MP back camera, 256GB ROM, plus 16GB RAM, 8GBplus 8GB extended RAM.

Secondly, is the Spark 10 pro with 128 ROM, plus 8GB RAM, with a front camera of 32MP and 50MP back camera. The third model is Spark 10 C with 8MP front camera and 16MP, and lastly, Spark 10 C with 8MP front camera, 16MP back camera and 128GB ROM, plus 4GB RAM.

During the launch on March 24, Claver Rukundo, the trainer specialist at TECNO, explained the specifics of the brand new phones.

"The battery capacity of Spark 10 Pro is 5,000 milliamp (mAh) as it can power a device for a longer time before the need to recharge it—18 charger watts. It also has a screen resolution of full HD plus, enabling a client to watch videos and pictures clearly,” he said.

Rukundo further noted that the Spark 10 C is rich in HD and screen resolution, and its front camera has 8 megapixels, the main camera 16MP, and an assisting camera.

Rukundo emphasised that what makes the Spark 10 C unique is its battery capacity of 5,000 milliamps and 10 charger watts.

The Spark 10 series’ design is better than the last TECNO models, as the battery cover changes colour when exposed to light.

When one touches the phone covers, the fingerprints disappear, but also, the battery cover can’t fade, since its material is made of 13 layers.

The edges of the new phones are flat, thus making it easy for the client to hold.

The camera housing is very attractive, and for security purposes, one can lock the phone with fingerprints that are designed at the side of the phone, just next to the power button.

For Rukundo, the Spark 10 Pro entails memory that is fabricated for a gaming experience. It has an Arial gaming 88 processor, which is smooth and fast when playing games.

"The images are very clear, both during the day and night. When a client is using the camera at night, the phones have a super night mode, which brightens the image,” Rukundo said.

Unlike other phones that take forever to focus while using the camera, the Spark 10 Pro contains an autofocus system that intelligently adjusts the camera lens to obtain focus on the subject.

The Spark 10 series’ battery is strong as it takes two to three days without charging if it’s fully charged, depending on how the phone is used. Using too many applications drains the battery with time.

"We encourage our clients to buy these phones in any

TECNO shops, as that way, won’t be sold used phones. These phones are packaged with accessories such as the phone cover, earphones, USB cable type C, an extra pair of Bluetooth earphones as a gift, and free Airtel internet of 5GB,” Rukundo said.

For prices, Spark 10 Pro of 256GB, plus 8GB goes for Rwf 194,900, Spark 10 Pro 128GB, plus 8GB costs Rwf 168,500, Spark 10 C, 128GB, plus 8GB goes for Rwf 145,000 and Spark 10 C 128 GB, plus 4GB goes for Rwf 127,500.

Rukundo stated that although the phone’s battery is strong if one doesn’t know how to take care of it, it may become weak. For instance, he said that exposing the phone to higher temperatures weakens the battery, thus urging using the phone under normal temperatures.

"Use recommended charges, the battery of the phone indicates the specific charger to use. Once the original charger is spoiled, buy a new original one from TECNO

shops.”

He also advised not to wait for the phone to shut down before charging it, stressing that if the battery goes red, it’s an indicator to charge it.

Rukundo also said that TECNO usually gets customers’ feedback and manufactures phones depending on the local market, but also, there are technicians who use the phones before they are released to the market. The new phone models have a 13-month warranty.

TECNO also announced Darina Kayumba, the second runner-up Miss Rwanda 2022, as the new Spark 10 series chief experience officer who will promote the phones through online and offline campaigns.

Starting March 29 to April 29, TECNO will initiate an online campaign where the top 30 fans with more engagement on social media platforms will stand a chance to win various prizes, and money, like Rwf 500,000, Spark 10 C, and Bluetooth headsets, among others.

For a chance to win, one will be required to follow @tecnombilerw on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and take a video doing two different activities, and post it on social media using the hashtag #GLOWASYOUARE and tag @Tecnomobilerw
