The source of all freedom is peace.

Peace is something that one would always want to have but hardly have people gone deep to think about what this four lettered word truly means.

Peace can be defined as freedom from disturbance; or, quiet and tranquility. This means for one to have peace, they need freedom from anything that is disturbing and negative in their lives.

Peace often begins with the mind. When one is calm in their minds they have peace. When one has peace of mind, there is no doubt their life is complete.

Peaceful people are often satisfied with what they are or have. That is the beauty that comes along with peace. Living in good terms and at peace with people at all levels of a relationship is one thing that makes life worthwhile.

Certainly, no human being under the heavens would trade their peace for anything unless otherwise. Even then, if one does it, usually it’s for selfish and evil reasons.

Who would not want to be peaceful? This is not only good but also healthy. We can disagree to agree that when one is at peace, even their bodies will be healthy because there is absolutely no stress.

Seeking to live peacefully should be paramount in people’s lives. When one wrongs another, they should be able to apologize so as to keep peace with each other. Even the Bible asks us to apologize (Numbers 5:5-8).

This is not easy for some people to do but there is nothing that binds relationships than apologizing. This shows that one acknowledges their mistakes and is therefore sorry.

One would rather live a life that may not be the best, but when they have peace, they are happier than those who may be living perfect lives but with no peace at all.

One thing I have learnt is that peace begins with one’s thought, and then spreads to oneself, their family, their community and later their country.

Therefore, for peace to prevail one must have peaceful thoughts for the good of their families and country as a whole.
