Local artistes grace World Peace Day

To raise public awareness of World Peace Day, Rwandan musicians performed at a concert dubbed ‘Peace Concert’ at Petit Stade, Kigali.The free concert was organised by the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission (NURC) and, featured various artistes including Munyanshoza, Mani Martin Kizito Kizito Mihigo, Tuyisenge, The Sisters and Army Jazz band, among others.

To raise public awareness of World Peace Day, Rwandan musicians performed at a concert dubbed ‘Peace Concert’ at Petit Stade, Kigali.

The free concert was organised by the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission (NURC) and, featured various artistes including Munyanshoza, Mani Martin Kizito Kizito Mihigo, Tuyisenge, The Sisters and Army Jazz band, among others.

The event started with a Peace Walk which commenced from the Kimihurura Roundabout and concluded at the Petit Stade, where the official celebrations were held.

The Peace Concert was also graced by the National Police, the Rwanda Defence Forces, non-governmental organizations (NGO) and students from various schools of the country.

The concert started early in the evening and went on until late. Artistes delivered outstanding performances that left many people longing for more.

"This was the best show of the year,” an excited, Andine Tessy, one of the participants said.
