IT may be early days in the Primus league but many believe today’s clash between giants Kiyovu and Police at Kigali Regional stadium will show who is better placed to challenge APR this season.

In the build up to the league, Kiyovu coach Baptist Kayiranga touted Police as one of the league favourites but he is also well aware that the green baggies’ fans will settle for nothing short of a win this afternoon.

As expected, Police sent out a loud warning to their rivals with a 4-0 thrashing of Amagaju over the weekend. In contrast, Kiyovu labored to a 2-1 victory over Nyanza.

Champions APR, who host Marines at Mumena, also had to dig deep for their 1-0 victory over newly promoted side Espoir.

However, Coach Ernie Brandts will be hoping for goals against a side they thumped 4-0 on their way to lifting the pre-season Primus Cup.

In other matches, Rayon Sport host Mukura, AS Kigali play away to Amagaju, Nyanza take on La Jeunesse while Espoir face Etincelles.
