Sezibera gets award from Ugandan school

St. Mary’s College Kisubi Old Boys Association (SMACKBA) last Friday presented the Diplomacy and Leadership award to Dr. Richard Sezibera, the Secretary General of the East African Community (EAC).Dr Sezibera, who is an old student of the school, was honoured with the award at a ceremony of the Annual Re-union Dinner organised by the association, which took place in Kampala.

St. Mary’s College Kisubi Old Boys Association (SMACKBA) last Friday presented the Diplomacy and Leadership award to Dr. Richard Sezibera, the Secretary General of the East African Community (EAC).

Dr Sezibera, who is an old student of the school, was honoured with the award at a ceremony of the Annual Re-union Dinner organised by the association, which took place in Kampala.

Speaking to The New Times yesterday, Dr. Sezibera said that he briefed his alumni about various issues concerning the programs and projects that are ongoing at the EAC Secretariat.

"I am happy to be part of SMACKBA and I encourage my colleagues to highly participate in the EAC integration process,” he said.

Other Old Boys who were recognised include Ugandan Vice President, Edward Sekandi, who received the Political Leadership award.
