The news that the UN Security Council, last week, reappointed Hassan Bubacar Jallow as the Prosecutor of the Tanzania-based International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), for a three-year term did not surprise me.

Bubacar Jallow has tried to bring to book suspects of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. He has, on several occasions, been vocal in  calling on countries especially in Africa to arrest the genocide suspects.

Now with the added time, I hope he does whatever it takes to arrest and try the masterminds of the Genocide, especially top suspect Felicien Kabuga.
