Liza Kamikazi is a Rwandan singer-songwriter, playwright and upcoming actress. She was born on 20th June, 1987, featured on the Rwandan music scene in 2008, with her debut "Usiniache” single. The Swahili song gave her a lucky start, as she instantly won a (local) "Salax Award” for best female artist.

"Rahira” her most famed hit, featuring former songster, The Ben, appeared on the nominations list in 2009, in the "Song of Year,” category.

Around the same time, she appeared in the fair-budget local movie "Abana Binyangye”, a story based on students who were killed by militias for not segregating themselves as Hutus, from the targeted Tutsis.

Liza toppled up her feat recently when she was nominated for the 2011 East African Music Awards, in the "Best Female” category, alongside the likes of Jaydee and Wahu and Juliana Kanyomozi.

Liza however has very few known songs, including "Turi bato”, "Mbamo” and "Ni abacu”.

She has proudly carried the Rwandan flag at performances in North Africa, Europe and lately, Canada.
